About the Project
Music for the Heart is a solo recital experience curated by Jacob Burk, violist and teaching artist. The program blends timeless works with narrative reflections — ideal for churches, retirement homes, and wellness-based venues.
This heartfelt series of intimate viola performances is designed to foster connection, reflection, and healing. Blending classical works, lyrical folk melodies, and audience favorites, each concert offers an accessible and meaningful musical experience tailored for:
Senior living and retirement communities
Spiritual spaces and faith-based gatherings
Healthcare and hospice environments
Community centers and reflective events

Music for the Heart: Meditations in Melody – A Solo Viola Experience by Jacob Burk
A reflective, community-centered concert experience now touring across Texas.
Jacob is currently booking performances in Texas through June and July 2025 . This is a professionally presented, emotionally resonant experience backed by Arcpoint Creative.
What to Expect
30–45 minutes of live viola music (solo or with piano, if available)
Selections ranging from Bach to Beatles, hymns to heartfelt improvisations
Spoken program notes or reflections to guide the experience
Optional themes (e.g. “Musical Memory,” “Nature & Stillness,” “Spiritual Song”)
Interactive Q&A or story sharing (optional based on setting)
Why It Matters
This project grew from a belief that music, especially in vulnerable or transitional life stages, has the power to affirm identity, evoke memory, and offer comfort. Jacob has seen firsthand how live performance can bring joy, tears, laughter, and reconnection — especially for those who may not have regular access to the arts.
